VIP Mission

To bring together people of good alignment who wish to do good. This can be done in the following ways:

  • Help new player

  • Build the reputation of the guild by deed and action

  • Increase it’s influence and its resources

  • Confront directly the evil located throughout the realms

  • Above all maintain the highest levels of honesty, integrity, and chivalry

VIP Government

The guild is currently governed by two ranking Knights. The Guildmaster and the Lawgiver who is second only to the Guildmaster.  As the guild grows a high council will be appointed. Neither the current government, nor the high council in times to come, will have any game-specific authority. They will however preside over VIP chapter houses and outpost openings, appointments and retirements of Guild Faction Masters, and any issues that can be viewed as guild-related.

The High Council when it is incorporated will consist of, the Guildmaster, the Lawgiver (vice-regent), and the head of each of the factions (Master of the Rose, Master of the Sword and Master of Runes).

As may be the case, should the guild grow in size, chapter houses and outposts may arise. When this occurs, a Knight of the faction that the house or outpost is assigned to, will be assigned to be the Knight Regent of that house.

EG: A chapter house or outpost is built for the Swords faction. A member who has obtained the rank of Knight of the sword will be assigned as head of that chapter house. His title will be changed from Knight of the sword to Knight regent of the sword. His rank will still be equal to that of his fellow Knights of the sword but he will have final say where members of his chapter house are concerned and can only be overruled by members of the high council in his decisions where his members are concerned. Should he disagree with a council member’s individual decision, he will then have the right to plead his case before the entire council.

All new establishments built are considered Outposts until their membership is more than fifteen members, at which point in time it can petition the high council to upgrade its status to a chapter house and the knight regent may assign aids. The knight regent will then have the right to choose three members to serve as his aids. These members will be given the title of Legion Knight and can be of any rank the Regent chooses, so long as they are members of the same faction and chapter house. Their ranks will still be taken into account when interacting with other knights but direct orders from their Regent will supercede anything that other higher ranked knights may desire. Again only a member of the High council can direct a legion knight to go against the regents orders.

If a chapter house membership falls below 15 then its status will be downgraded to Outpost once more and the legion knights will either be dismissed and given their original title back or reassigned.

In order to create an outpost a minimum of five knights must band together and petition for outpost status.  If the outpost falls below five members it will be disbanded and the regent either reassigned or dismissed and given his/her original title back.

VIP Meetings

During the growing stages, guild meetings will be posted in the forums in advance for all members to attend. It will be the responsibility of the members to check the forums from time to time in order to keep up to date.

Should the guild grow to a significant size, High Council meetings will be held as necessary and it will be the responsibility of the Faction Heads to ensure the pertinent information is passed down throughout the ranks.

Titles and Advancement in the Guild

The VIP Guild is divided into Factions and Ranks.

New recruits to the VIP guild will start out as Squired and work toward attaining the title of Knight. In order to do so the Knight who sponsored you to be included in the guild to begin with will take responsibility for you during your training. Said Knight will be responsible for your actions until you reach the rank of Knight yourself.

Knights, once they have completed the necessary requirements, may petition the council for inclusion into a particular faction. It will be the decision of the Council as to which faction said Knight is appointed to but the desire of the Knight in question will be taken into consideration at that time. The overall well-being of the guild will be placed first before said Knights desire but should there be no reason to deny the request, then the Knight will be given his/her appointment of choice. Should he/she find himself in a faction not of his/her choosing then said Knight can petition the council to reconsider but not before two months time has gone by since the last petition.

Advancements within the rank will be covered in more detail in  the Ranks section.

Demotions in the Guild

Sponsorship - If as a Soldier your sponsor does not think that you are doing your duties, they may decide to no longer sponsor you. If this happens, you will be reduced to Squire.

Chapter House / Outpost Duties - If the Regent Knight of your House / Outpost feels that you are not participating, then he/she has the right to reduce you in rank. You may at that time appeal to the High Council if you feel the action unwarranted.

Stepping Down - Any member who has obtained the rank of Master of a particular faction or above may step down from their position. When they do this, they will be given the highest ranking title of their particular faction to use.

Demotion of Knight Regent - At such time as the members of a chapter house or outpost feel that a Knight Regent is not benefiting the chapter, a petition may be sent to the Lawgiver asking for the demotion of said Knight. The petition should detail the complaint, and offer a solution to the issue. A high council vote will be taken to decide the issue.

Demotion of Master of Faction Knight – A Master of Faction Knight, may be demoted when a petition is put forth by the following ranked Knights. The remaining two Master of Faction Knights. One Master of Faction Knight and three Knight Regents of the highest rank in classes other than that of the Master of Faction who is making the petition for demotion. Five Knight Regent consisting of no more than three regents in the same faction.  A Master of Faction Knight may also be demoted by the Lawgiver and/or the Guildmaster should sufficient reason be shown both must be in agreement.

Ceremonies in the Guild

On the first of each month an in-game a ceremony will be held. At these ceremonies all promotions, badges, and other items of note will be given. All requests must be posted on the general board a minimum of seven days prior to these dates. Any requests not posted in time will be carried over to the next ceremony. (Once membership is greater than 20)

Conclusion

This is the Charter of the VIP Guild. To be granted a chapter or outpost of VIP, you must apply to the High Council. Upon a grant from the High Council, you may branch out on your own and create your own official house/outpost, with all the privileges and responsibilities pertaining to said venture. This Charter is subject to change by a vote of the High Council. Any deviation from this Charter may result in the suspension or removal of a VIP house/outpost.
